Makeup tips every girl should know

We all wear makeup, whether it be for a special occasion or on an everyday basis like me and it can be such a hassle , particularly if you don't know what you should use. I have decided today to make a list of some makeup "tips and tricks" that will hopefully help anyone who needs it and make putting your makeup on fun again, rather than the thing you dread doing before you go out.

1. Put your eyeshadow on first- It is the worst thing ever when you have put your foundation on and specks of eyeshadow fall. You are torn between leaving the specks under your eyes or wiping off some of your foundation. But why make the decision, if you do your eyeshadow first you can wipe away any fall down without worrying about having patchy foundation. Problem solved!
2. Always put a loose/pressed powder on top of your foundation- No one likes having a shiny face, especially when your going on a night out or working all day. Too many people forget this step when putting on makeup, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Putting power on sets all your makeup and helps it stay on so at the end of the day/night your face doesn't look like a greasy patchy mess.
3. Don't skip the primer- Firstly primer is not, I repeat NOT a moisturiser. Primer is like a glue for your makeup, it smooths out your skin and can also stop your face shining. So it is a must if you don't want your face to come off.
4. Don't sleep with your makeup on- This is probably the most important tip I can give you. I can already hear some of you gasp at the thought of this, but yes, some people still sleep with a full face of makeup on. This is so bad for your skin because it blocks your pores. Your skin won't be able to breathe and you will break out in spots. So please keep a packet of makeup removal wipes close to your bed in case of any late nights.

Lip voltage

Hi everyone, so last night before going out I went to my sister's house to get ready with my cousin, niece and sister. We did the usual things, hair and makeup along with a few drinks. After we had done our makeup my cousin pulled out her 'lip voltage' and told us we had to try it. I'd not heard of it before and was curious, and sceptical, about how good this product worked. So one by one we all took turns to apply it to our lips, it comes in a doe-foot style lip gloss which makes the application simple. I'm not going to lie, this product is really painful, it feel like lots of little needles stabbing your lips all at once. After a while the pain goes (20-30mins) and the results are amazing. Your lips look full and plump like you have just had a filler done. I was so shocked because I thought it would be the type of thing that everyone raves about but is never as good as you thought, how wrong I was (i wish I thought ahead and took a before and after pictures for you all to see the results). This product is not the cheapest thing ever, I found it for between £18.99 and £24.99, but it is definitely worth the money. After a bit of research I have noticed that it is sold out on almost all the sites I found it on, and others have a waiting list of buyer's. If you can find anywhere that has 'lip voltage' in stock can you let me know in the comment because I really really want one!

Skinny Minnie...

Hi everyone, so today I want to talk about weight. I was shocked to read that 7 out of 10 women are self conscious about their weight and body image. I'm not going to lie, I'm included in that statistic. For the past few years I have felt uncomfortable about my weight, especially during the summer when I start thinking about wearing shorts and bikinis on holiday. Now I'm not saying that I think I'm obese, just that I could do with losing a few pounds. In my mind I thought that I wanted to be a size 10 (uk size) and that would make me happy. But no more, today I have decided to embrace my curves and start to feel confidant in my skin.

So I want to give any self conscious girls out there a few reasons why they should learn to love their curves.

• We look amazing in a pair of jeans. If you have a bum the best thing you can do is to put on a pair of jeans. Not only do they look fantastic but we fill them out beautifully.
• Men love a girl with curves. They love the confidence a curvy girl has, the big bum and boobs don't go a miss either.
• Strut your stuff. With shoulder back and our back slightly arched curvy girls naturally have an amazing walk.

Loving yourselves means others will love you too. When you look in the mirror love what you see, this will give you the confidence to wear what you want and to feel as fabulous as you look.

It has taken me a long time to feel confidant with my body image and work with "what I was given". Today I have decided to remove the "f" word (fat) from vocabulary and try be happy with all of my curves. I hope you like this post. Summer Time

Hi everyone, the sun is out ladies and this can only mean one thing, it's time to start getting ready for summer. Yes, the season when legs and feet are on show for the world to see. With this in mind I bought a couple of things to treat my feet and give them a little pampering.

So today I bought a Sally Hansen Just Feet Foot Rasp , yes I know it's discusting to think about but flip flops are on their way back and I want my feel to be ready. Next I got a beauty formulas foot cream and a pair of Cotton Moisturising Sleep Socks . I have had these socks before and they are really effective, they make the moisturiser work a lot quicker and make your feet lovely and soft. Lastly I got a technic pretty pastel nail varnish in the colour moonlit jade. I love these nail varnish and I think that the pastels are such a good choice for this summer.

So that was all I bought today and I can't wait to get started. I love sandals and flip flops, and now I will be ready for when they come back. Do you have any pampering tips for the summer? Much love Toni xoxo

Sneek peek in to my bedroom

Hi everyone, today I have decided to show you the storage I use in my bedroom to hold all my jewellery, beauty products, etc.

First of all I will point out that all my units are from IKEA. I absolutely love them, there so simple and make my life a lot easier. I will leave a link by each picture if you fancy taking a look.

So my first and main source of storage are my chest of draws from the malm range at IKEA(here)

In here I keep most of my clothes. I also use one of the top draws for my daily makeup and some hair accessories. I got the dividers from IKEA for £6 and I think they are really handy.

On top of my draws I have my photo album, perfumes , jewellery and some makeup bits.

I store all my necklaces in a large glass cookie jar which I was given for Christmas. On the lid I have a necklace I found at a sale in new look, my Cartier bangle and my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet. I think the smaller one was meant to be a herb container, I got is at home bargains for about 29p, the money went towards breast cancer reasearch so I had to get it and it came in really handy to put my earings in.

Last I have my real techniques brushes which I store in this cute cup and my lip balm that I keep in an old candle glass.

The next unit I use is a 2 draw chest also from the malm range (here). This is were I keep all my creams, cleansers, and other facial things.

Next are my two zebra print boxes, my DVD units and my tv stand.

First let's start with the DVD units and tv stand. As you have already guessed, I use my DVD units to store all my dvds. I got them from IKEA and they are the Benno DVD towers (here). I also got my tv stand from IKEA, it's from the Expedit range (here). In the bottom quarter I keep all my hair products in a little black basket.

In my zebra boxes I have some of my summer things that I haven't been able to wear through the winter (when the summer is here I will fill them with my jumpers). I like to keep them in these boxes because it gives me a lot more space in my chest of draws. On top of one I have 3 smaller boxes, one holds my nail varnish and the others have things I don't want to be on show, bits and pieces. On top of my other zebra box I have my Cecilia Ahern books and some of the things I use on my wreak this journal.

My makeup collection

Hi everyone, for this post I have decided to share with you my makeup. I don't have a huge amount but I thought I'd share anyways. I'm not going to do reviews this will just be a list, but if you want to see a review ask in the comments.

First is my makeup draw where I keep the makeup I use on a daily basis along with my pallets and hair accessories.

I'll start with the front section which holds my daily collection.

Slim in 6

Hi everyone, today I decided to introduce you to Slim in 6. This is a workout DVD and I have been loving it at the minute. It's a 6 week program of resistance training. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and I can already see change. In total I've lost about 5lbs and 4.5 inche over my waist, hips and thighs. I think this set is one of the best of its kind that I've tried. Along with the 3 DVD' s you also get a diet plan, measuring tape, weight loss chart and a resistance band. If your looking to shape up this summer I really recommend this for you. It's so easy and because you see it working you stay motivated. At £66.80 this set is quite pricey but for me I feel it was an investment. I'll leave the link below for anyone who wants to take a look.

Whats in my bag?

A girls bag is where she stores all her daily essentials and 'bits and bobs' away from the world. You can tell a lot about a person by the contents of her bag. So I have decided so sort out all the bits of paper and old receipts, put away my lose pennies and show you what I lug around with me in my bag.

1. NOTEBOOK to write down all my blog ideas while I'm on the go.
2. KINDLE FIRE HD for reading books or more likely social networking.
3. DIARY for all my important dates. (e.g. my birthday)
4. PEN to write in my notebook and diary.
5. HAND CREAM so I have nice soft hands.
6. DEODORANT so I don't smell. (haha)
7. MIRROR to check my makeup during the day.
8. NAIL FILE in case I chip a nail.
9. HAND SANITIZER to sanitize my hands.
10. PURSE to hold all my pennies.
11.LIP BALM to keep my lips soft (can't see it in the picture)
12. MY MOBILE PHONE for the usual phone things.

Primark haul

Hi everyone, So today I went shopping to get my mum some gifts for mothers day and just couldn't resist going in to primark. It been ages since I've been and was really impressed with how sensible I was with my purchase.

The first things I got where these jelly shoes and frilly socks(it's hard to see in the picture but they are pink). I used to love these shoes when I was a kid and when I saw them in primark I got really excited. They were only £4 which I thought was a bargain. I got the socks for £1.50 and thought they'd look cute with shorts or a dress.

I have been wanting a matte nail varnish for a while now so when I saw this top coat for £1 it went straight in to my  basket with this other spotty one. I'm not sure what the spotty one will look like on but it was half price at £1 so I couldn't resist.

When I bought these scrunchies I think I was remembering my childhood and how much I used to love them. I'm not too sure if or when I will ever wear them, oh well for £1 I don't mind.

This is the last thing I bought in primark and I  think it is my favourite. It's an oversize t-shirt/dress thing. I was thinking it would look good with my jellies in the summer or with tights now while it's still a bit cold. It cost £6 and I thought it was a bargain.

              This I how I think I will wear it.




My next purchase was not from primark but I  got it on the same shopping trip and thought I'd share it anyways.

I got this lipstick from superdrug for £2.99. It's from the Little Mix range by collection. This colour is Leigh-Anne and is a deep red. It is highly pigmented and I think it looks lovely on and feels amazing.

Daily essentials

Hi everyone, a lot of the beauty blogs I have read talk about different makeup they use , different brands etc. Today I want to write about my daily essentials, these are the little things I use when I'm getting ready and doing my makeup, that I couldn't live without, sometimes get overlooked or under appreciated .

So here goes:-
Wipes- Not the most exciting thing on my list but they are essential. So we all know what wipes are for, but if not they are for taking your makeup off. I have used many different brands of wipes and have been really disappointed with them, either they don't smell nice or they are quite dry. At the moment I have been using 'natura' cleansing wipes and I really like them as they smell quite nice and they are very moist. They leave my skin generally cleansed and do "what it says on the packet" as the saying goes.

Moisturiser- With summer just around the corner moisturizing is so important. I'm using Ted Baker origami souffle. I can't describe how good this stuff actually smells. It leaves you skin feeling so soft and moisturizer without leaving the stickiness that you get of some other moisturizers. It also lasts a really long time as you only need to use a small amount.

Lip balm- I hate when my lips go dry, so lip balm is my best friend. I use maybelline baby lips and they are amazing. I think the first one I bought was 'pink punch' and after I used it for about a week I went back and bought all them. The packaging is really cute and they make your lips feel fab. At the minute I'm using 'cherry me' which gives a natural red tint look. Lip balm is one of my most used products as I use it morning, noon and night, I'd be lost without it.
